Any Kelowna florist knows that as a follow up to the wedding proposals that took place last month, many brides-to-be are starting to consider colour schemes for their wedding.

FlowerScene has many beautiful displays in our Kelowna flower shop and we welcome you to come in and look around to get some ideas.

Here are some colour suggestions that work beautifully together:

Green FlowerIf bold colours appeal to you, roses and gerbera daisies done in orange and bright pink will make a fun, yet stylish statement. These colours are eye catching on invitations!

Green FlowerBlue and white are colours that work any time of the year. Creamy roses with blue hydrangeas, blue hibiscus, or blue tulips look lovely. Or, keep the flowers white and use streams of blue ribbon to hold the bouquet together.

Green FlowerOur Kelowna flower shop is filled with flowers in many shades of pink. A gentle, light pink flower can be paired with brown or a light green for a neutral, more gentle colour scheme.

Green FlowerNature lovers sometimes lean towards using greens and browns in their wedding colour schemes. The deeper shades of these colours work really well for winter weddings. You can throw in bright orange flowers for some eye-popping colour.

Green FlowerDeep yellow or burgundy flowers also make for a lovely Autumn colour palette. Butter-hued roses, deep purple dahlias and chrysanthemums bring a rich, sophisticated look.

Green FlowerBlack and white formal weddings are a timeless colour combination. But just because your main colours are black and white, doesn't mean you can't still add some colour into your flower bouquet. Deep red roses always work, as they evoke feelings of passion and true love. You can also use a light green rose, paired with dark green Cordyline or Aspidistra leaves to bring a bit of colour, while enhancing the elegance of your wedding.

These are but a handful of options you have for the perfect colour scheme. FlowerScene can work with you to design the right combinations for your wedding. Just drop by our Kelowna flower shop, located in the Kettle Valley Village Centre!
